Challenges
SA Baxter sought Solvve's expertise to transition from NetSuite to Odoo. The company needed to configure its accounting, sales, purchase, and manufacturing processes within the Odoo platform. Additionally, it was essential to adopt new printing forms and customize the Odoo workflows to meet the company's unique requirements.
Solution
Odoo specialists transitioned data from the NetSuite ERP system to Odoo. To facilitate this move and ensure smooth data transfer, standard Odoo import tools were utilized to import contacts, addresses, invoices, balances, and inventory adjustments, guaranteeing accurate and efficient data migration. Following this, Odoo workflows were tailored to meet the company's specific needs.
Odoo Studio was used to create new fields, enhancing data collection and customization within the ERP system. Improved forms for printing quotations, sales orders, and production orders were established, enabling the generation of quotes with additional order fields and line-level details, correct PDF form printing, and the initiation of production orders. These enhancements improved information presentation and increased work efficiency.
Solvve integrated Odoo contacts across various entities, such as sales orders, CRM, and invoices, facilitating better communication and data consistency. This allowed the accounting department to manage invoices, payments, and checks using appropriate printed forms effectively.
To streamline production processes, automatic merging of draft orders was implemented, and all the necessary specifications for the production process have been created. These configurations simplified process organization in production, reduced errors, and optimized resource allocation.
Solvve also assisted the company in enhancing its financial processes with Odoo by configuring customized deposit and discount processes, which are expected to improve cash flow management and customer relationships. Additionally, integrations with the client's primary logistics partners have been seamlessly set up in Odoo, optimizing logistics operations, potentially reducing shipping costs, and improving delivery times.
By working in sync with the client's company and fully immersing ourselves in the specific of its operations, we were able to configure Odoo ERP in a way that facilitated smooth and natural process automation. This allowed the new system to quickly become an integral part of daily routines without encountering resistance.
